All children are intelligent, creative, and incessant explorers, each in their own unique way. When you look into the eyes of an infant, you see the constant inquisitiveness: they feel everything, taste everything and if they don't like something they spit it out. As they begin to crawl, and then walk, they become great conquerors leaving nothing untouched. When they are tired and bored they fall asleep no matter where they are. In essence, all newborns are geniuses who get everyone around them to heed their slightest command.
When do they lose this genius? When do they lose their creativity? When do they become difficult children who hate school, who refuse to do creative things and who are labeled disabled, or worse?
Kids Need Us Now, LLC, is dedicated to kids of all ages. No matter how old we are, there is a child inside us who must be released to allow our creative selves to explore and succeed. The time is now, we cannot wait for double-and triple-blind studies or to define new reasons why a child cannot read or explain why a child has a behavior problem. It is our contention that the children have the answers if they are allowed to be heard. When expectations are low, children comply; and when expectations are high, children comply. It is up to us to set the standard and give children of all ages the opportunity to reach for the stars. Each child in a unique way, is a bright shining star, that when allowed to shine will display brilliance.
